Mini Stock Rules
Vehicle type/Wheelbase
A. Vehicle may be american or import front engine
B. Frame must have stock wheelbase of 101" or less
C. Vehicle may be front or rear wheel drive
Safety Equipment
A. Fire suit is recommended for all drivers, long sleeves required on race track
B. All race vehicles must have fire extinguishers mounted within drivers reach with driver strapped in seat
C. All race vehicles must have 4-point aircraft style or racing style restraint , with quick release . 5-point recommended
D. All race vhicles must use drivers window net with quik release mounted within drivers reach while strapped in seat
E. Battery must be securely mounted and covered and seperated from fuel cell by firewall
F. All switches must be clearly marked and labeled
G. Fuel cell use is recommended
H. All vehicles must have firewall between driver and fuel cell or fuel tank
I. Fuel cells may be moved to trunk
Roll Cage
A. 4-point full width cage minimum required.All cages must have a minimum of 2 bars coming off the 4-point cage in the rear of the car.These bars
must be permanently attached by welding or plates with nuts and bolts(no self taping bolts or screws)
B. Minimum tubing size 1.25" I.D. schedule 40 pipe
C. Must have minimum three horizontal door bars on drivers side
D. Must have minimum of two horizontal door bars on passenger side
E. Main loop must be mounted over drivers head
F. Safety harness should be mounted to cage
G. Roll cage must be mounted to frame by welding or bolted with nuts and bolts.(no self tapin bolts or screws)
H. If roll cage is mounted to unibody frame, mounting plates should be utilized
I. All roll cage material must be permanently attached by welding or using plates welded or bolted with nuts and bolts to frame (no self taping bolts or screws)
Body
A. Bodies must appear stock, factory sheet metal, no aftermarket racing bodies
B. All glass and plastic must be removed , miscellaneous body parts removed
C. Cutout for driver recommended
D. May radius fenders for clearance , no sharp edges allowed
E. Must retain stock firewall and floor pan in stock location
F. Tunneling allowed but stock floor pan must be complete from firewall to back of drivers seat
G. Knerf bars 1 1/4" I.D. max round pipe returns to cage or frame
Frame
A. Frame must be of parent manufacturer
B. Tow loop must be welded to front and rear frame
Front End/Front Suspension
A. Must remain stock in appearance
B. Components must remain in stock location
C. No weight jacks allowed
D. Use of adjustable sway bar is allowed
E. Use of penard bar is allowed
F. Axle may be chained to frame
G. Reinforcing is not considered modification
H. All drive shafts must be painted white and have a drive shaft safety loop
Engine
A. Engine must be of parent manufacturer
B. 4-cylinder in-line front engine
C. 2300 max displacement
D. Engine must have battery operated ignition
E. Engine must have factory intake, no aftermarket intakes allowed
F. Use of aftermarket headers allowed
G. Engine must be stock cast iron block
H. Naturally aspirated single carb or factory fuel injection allowed
I. No aftermarket fuel injection systems
J. No use of superchargers or turbo chargers will be allowed
K. Use of stock camshaft only
L. No use of aftermarket racing heads, intake or blocks allowed
M. Engine must remain in stock location, no setback
N. $1200.00 buyout on engine , less intake and headers. If someone buys out a motor it must be run the following weekend in the buyers race vehicle
Transmission
A. Stock automatic transmission with torque converter
B. Stock standard transmission with clutch and pressure plate
C. Must have foreward and reverse
D. Must be self starting out of gear and must be able to shift into gear while running
Fuel/Fuel Tank
A. Gasoline only
B. Fuel tanks must be securely mounted in trunk
C. Fuel tanks must have spill check valve
D. Fuel tank must be seperated from driver by full use of firewall
E. Use of fuel cell recommended
Bumpers
A. Bumpers must be stock or home-made using acceptable racecar design.
B. Bumpers must be securely attached and not present a threat to to other cars
C. Bumpers may be reinforced with black iron pipe
D. Reinforcements must be smooth radius that terminate at least 3" inside body
Tires and Rims
A. Tires must be D.O.T. approved
B. 8" maximum tread width
C. Maximum 14/32" depth outside lug
D. No snow tires, grooved tires, or studded tires allowed
E. Use of racing tires is not allowed
F. Steel wheels only maximum 8" width
Weight
A. Vehicle must weigh minimum of 2000 lbs coming off track with driver in car
Numbers
A. Car shall be numbered on both sides of car and on roof
B. All numbers shall be at least 18" tall and of contrasting colors
C. Numbers must be legible from the grandstands
