Hobby Stock Rules
Vehicle type/wheelbase
A. Any american made car of 112" wheel base or more
B. Rear wheel drive only
Safety equipment
A. Fire suit is recommended for all drivers, long sleeve shirt must be worn when on race track
B. All race vehicles must have fire extinguisher mounted within drivers reach when strapped in car
C. All race vehicles must use 4-point aircraft style restraints, with quick release, 5-point recommended
D. All race vehicles must use drivers window net with quick release mounted within drivers reach
E. Battery must remain in stock location , if relocated it must be securely mounted
Roll cage requirements
A. 4-point full width cage minimum required
B. Minimum tubing size 1.25" I.D. schedule 40 pipe
C. Must have minimum 2 horizontal door bars on both sides
D. Main loop must be over drivers head
E. Safety harness should be mounted to cage
F. Roll cage will not protrude beyond firewall or into engine or trunk compartment
G. Mounting flanges should have a minimum of four 3/8" bolts
Body and Frame
A. Removal of all glass is required
B. May radius fenders for clearance , no sharp edges allowed
C. Hood must remain on car and not be altered or lightened
D. Sheet metal must remain in reasonable condition
Bumpers
A. Stock factory bumpers
Frame/Chassis
A. Must remain stock frame and body , suspension shall remain stock
B. Tow loop must be welded to front and rear frame
Front end/Front suspension
A. suspension shall remain stock
B. Reinforcement of front control arms is allowed
C. Right front wheel shall be reinforced
Engine
A. Engine must have stock cast iron intake and exhaust
B. Single stock type gasoline carb only
C. Carb adaptor allowed . 1" maximum
D. Engine must remain stock ,pistons , cam , valves, etc
E. Engine will retain stock compression ratio
F. $700.00 buyout on engine
Transmission
A. Stock auto transmission with torque convertor
B. Stock standard transmission , with clutch and pressure plate
C. Must have foreward and reverse
D. Must be self starting out of gear and must be able to shift into gear while running
Fuel/Fuel tanks
A. Gasoline only
B. Fuel tank must be securely mounted in trunk with spill check valve
C. Fuel tank must be seperated from driver by full fire wall, use of fuel cell recommended
Tires and Rims
A. No snow tires, studded tires, large lug type tires
B. Tires will not have tread wider than 8"
C. Stock off-set wheels 7"maximum
Numbers
A.Numbers of 18" on both doors and roof
